Joining team pink!

We were able to determine our baby’s gender and we are so excited to be welcoming a daughter into our family! The anatomy scan seemed to take forever (but I loved seeing all of our baby girl’s tiny features) and the gender was the very last thing our tech found. I was so nervous that we weren’t going to be able to find out at this appointment, but the tech promised me we would get it and we did. The look on Dylan’s face was one mixed with excitement and nervousness … which is probably understandable because if she’s anything like me then we are going to have our hands full!

We had already picked out the perfect name for her and after testing it out for a week, we decided to share it with the world! Kensington Louise Frank is what we decided on. Louise is Dylan’s mother’s middle name, and is a family name on her side. We loved the elegancy Kensington Louise has, as well as the adorable nickname we came up with: Kensie Lou! My grandmother’s name is Betty Lou and we thought it would be a fun way to incorporate her name into our baby’s name as well.

Now that we know our baby’s gender we have begun planning so many things! For example, her nursery, her wardrobe, and even her matching mommy and me outfits (okay, this one is a little cheesy, but definitely happening). We are so blessed and so excited to meeting our little Kensie Lou.

ALSO: Shout out to my wonderful sister who made this adorable name announcement for us. She has a hidden hand lettering talent…. so if you need anything lettered reach out to her! She’s a little in denial of her skills, but clearly she’s got talent! 😉
